Why Reiki mastery is one of the most powerful journeys you’ll ever take

This month, I had the honour of teaching the Reiki Masters course (Usui) in London - 15 years after doing the Reiki Masters Teachers course myself. The Reiki Masters course is such an intense and powerful course, whether you are the student or the teacher, and I am lucky enough to have experienced both.

When I did my Reiki Masters Teacher course 15 years ago, it was a golden opportunity given to me by my Reiki Master. Coincidentally at the same time, I was also starting up my own business, Reiki Chia. Everything seemed to be perfectly timed and it all went from there. Once Reiki enters your life, it really does open doors of opportunities for you.

Fast forward 15 years later, I was able to weave in my own unique twists and insights into the course, including psychic development. What made this Reiki Masters course special, was that I was teaching students that have been with me since their Reiki Level 1. Nish was one of my very first Reiki students in 2012 and I can never forget doing Reiki on him, where his energy channels were so clear, I never felt anything like it. That's what doing martial arts and being kung fu master does, it's all energy work. The more you practice, the better of a channel you become. Then, Ors, I met at the Mind Body Spirit (MBS) Festival 2025 four months ago, where his channels were super clear too. From trying his very first Reiki session ever at the Reiki Chia stand at MBS, his interest was sparked and he accelerated to Reiki Master - what a super achievement. It really was a power house with these guys in the Reiki course, let me tell you!

In the Reiki Masters course, not only do you learn to attune people to Reiki - to give them the gift of Reiki - you explore and use energy grids, Reiki psychic surgery, crystals and you get a chance to meet your Reiki guides. The experiences that happen through the 3 days are quite extraordinary. On the second day of the course, I meditated in the morning and received an attunement of 2 golden symbols placed in my hands - just like how Mikao Usui was enlightened with the Reiki symbol on his forehead. It was such a profound moment for me, as I have never had such an experience before.

What I have learnt now, is that Reiki grows as you grow. The universal energy never changes- but you do. As you release old patterns, raise your vibration and open yourself more fully, you begin to channel higher frequencies and work in deeper, more intuitive ways. The Reiki I channel today is far more fluid than what I channelled 15 years ago. When I drove home on the last day, a cloud appeared to me and without giving too much away, it looked like the one of the Reiki sacred symbols given at the Reiki Master attunement. The Reiki journey is such a beautiful one and I look forward to more, as the Reiki journey keeps on unravelling.
